History:
Avril has always known she was different.  From a young age she was able to do things other children could not.  Growing up poor, when she was bullied by other kids for not having stylish or even new clothes, they would suddenly have accidents.  The bullies would fall down a flight of stairs or be hit by a door suddenly swinging open or a binder clasp snapping painfully shut on their fingers.  It was not for sometime that Avril realized herself that she was the cause of these accidents but after she found out, she kept it to herself.  She had no way of knowing that her mother would understand all too well.

Despite this, Avril did well enough in school.  She had a few friends but did not go out of her way to meet new people.

Father having run off before she was even born, Avril was raised by her grand mother and mother.  Her father was a very negative conversation whenever Avril tried to bring him up.  She was told her had been uncaring and uninterested when he had been told he had a child.  This Avril would later find out was a lie.  That actually, her father had never been told about her.  Avril was told her father wanted nothing to do with her. That he was a criminal and abusive. All things that she was raised to believe.

Her Grandmother was very anti magic while her mother secretly knew witches and wizards existed. When her grandmother passed away just before Avril's eleventh birthday, Mia sat Avril down and handed her a letter in a white rectangular envelope. Addressed to her.

It was then that Avril found out who she truly was.  That she was a witch with a place in Hogwarts School of witchcraft and Wizardry.  The school her missing father had attended and currently taught at. She already knew his name and had found a picture by snooping through her mothers belongings years ago.  She found out her mother was what these people called a Muggle.  And found out that she had a choice.  Continue to live as she had for the past eleven years or start her life as a witch. 

Hogwarts it was.

Money was tight but Hogwarts did have scholarships.  With who her father was.  How could they say no?

Personality:
Avril is a unsure and shy girl.  She holds deep resentment towards her father for never being around and towards her mother for not telling her that she was a witch. 

She does not make friends easily. And does not have a good self esteem.  She has a temper when people push her too far.

Very intelligent and eager to learn, Avril is studious and more often than not, spends her time with her nose in a book.  She is though quick to try new things if it does not mean that she is going to be put on the spot.
