Appearance: Right-handed, around 5'10" but still growing, pencil-slender build and dresses in darker colours. Theodore has a hollow, greyish look about him that suggests he doesn't get enough sunlight. He has dull, blue, heavy-lidded eyes that give him a constant look of coldness and apathy. Usually he wears his dark hair slicked back, but throughout the course of the day hair escapes the mould and falls in front of his eyes like crashed waves. Prefers tighter-fitted clothes and actually hates wearing robes.
History:

• Born to elderly Aeolus Nott and (a considerably younger) Sieglinde, towards the end of 1979. Theodore is an only child. His Father was a pardoned Death Eater (much like Lucius Malfoy) and narrowly avoided incarceration at the end of the first Wizarding war. His first wife had also been a Death Eater, but she had been killed by another of his followers. Sieglinde was his second wife.
• Theodore was taught at home by his Father's spinster sister (Theo's aunt), whose teaching methods were centered around dictation and heavy discipline. As a result, Theo had impeccable manners and could recite all of his ancestors since the sixteenth century off by heart. His Aunt focused on figures such as Salazar Slytherin and Grindelwald as though they were commodities: not criminals.
• When Theodore was three years old, his Mother miscarried a still-born sister. It then became apparent that she was unwell, and Aeolus took an early retirement from the Ministry of Magic to look after her. Two years she spent almost solidly in St Mungo's hospital, until she was released shortly after Theodore's fifth birthday. She had insisted that she be in attendance for it.
• Five-year-old Theodore woke her the morning before his birthday. She told him 'good morning', smiled, and said nothing more. The illness had taken her quite unexpectedly, and very suddenly. Theo hasn't really enjoyed any of his birthdays since.
• Growing up without a Mother was difficult, and his Father was quite meloncholy. Theodore anticipated his arrival to Hogwarts as a means of escaping, and that he could finally be his own person.
• He had already known most of his soon-to-be-fellow-Slytherins before Hogwarts: their families were all very much connected. Both with written and practical work: Theodore excelled. He had already received tutition enough to give him an insight into correct wand movements; but despite this... he could never surpass the likes of Hermione Granger, for example. That always annoyed him; more so than her muddied blood.
• The fact that Hogwarts used thestrals to pull their carriages always disturbed him. They are his boggart.
• Last year, Theodore was one of the only Slytherins who did not wear a Potter Stinks badge. Although he doesn't really like Potter, he didn't really like Cedric either. He's just not the type to take part in those sorts of things.
• Now it's Theodore's fifth year at Hogwarts, and will be taking his OWL examinations in the summer.

Personality: The quiet and brooding type, Theodore is probably the least vocal out of his Slytherin classmates; but that's not to say that he doesn't hold the same views as they do when it comes to dirty blood. Theo is intelligent but lacks charisma: he dislikes taking part in frivolous activities such as discussing Quidditch, playing games in the common room or torturing unsuspecting first-year Gryffindors in the corridors. But while he may seem dark and mysterious, Theo is just pretentious. He loves to be patronising and thinks very highly of himself. Usually he's the one his Slytherin friends turn to when they need help with spells or written work and, even though he quite likes to be thought of as the intellectual; he can give people a hard time for asking.
Likes and Dislikes: Likes ancient runes and tablets, the history of the sacred twenty-eight, being interrupted but acting like he hates it, cold weather and heavy clothing, the astronomy tower at night. Dislikes having to communicate with students from other houses, being graded lower than expected, thestrals, herbology, bright sunlight.
